Newcastle United fans have given their seal of approval for the club’s new third kit for the 2017-18 season.
Rafael Benitez’s men will compete in the Premier League after earning promotion from the Championship at the first time of asking, and fans certainly think that they look the part.
The Magpies unveiled their third kit on Wednesday night, and it received a positive reaction.
The all-black ensemble features the shirt sponsor Fun88, which is emblazoned in gold, along with the Puma logos and Newcastle crest to commemorate its 125th anniversary.
Football kits can be very hit and miss, and it is a crucial part of pre-season from a business point of view.
If the supporters like what they see, then more money will be made in shirt sales, and judging by the Newcastle fans’ reaction, plenty of third kits will be snapped up.
The announcement also seems to have distracted attention away from Newcastle’s slow transfer window.
