da premier bet: According to reports in the Shields Gazette, Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez says striker Dwight Gayle is “OK” and training ahead of their opening day Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur at St James’ Park on Sunday.
da jogodeouro: The 27-year-old has been hampered by hamstring problems since the end of last season and he missed last weekend’s pre-season friendly against Hellas Verona with a similar issue.
Benitez will be keen to have the former Crystal Palace attacker involved for the visit of Spurs this weekend, considering he scored 23 goals in 32 Championship appearances last term as the Magpies won the league title and secured an immediate return to the top flight.
Newcastle supporters were quick to have their say on the injury update via social media and while they were understandably happy that he could be available, many don’t seem him being risked because of his lack of minutes on the pitch in recent weeks and others would prefer him to start on the bench because of their lack of striker options.
