da stake casino: Dave Whelan has announced that Wigan have offered Victor Moses a new contract which doubles his current salary, according to Sky Sports.
da leao: Chelsea were reported to have offered £4 million for the Nigerian attacker turned down and the Latics forthright Chairman Whelan stated that the club will only sell their star man “reluctantly”.
Moses caught the eye of many interested parties toward the end of last season, when his sparkling form assisted Wigan in staving off relegation. However, Whelan hinted that it would take more than the aforementioned Chelsea offer to prize the youngster away from the DW Stadium.
“If we have to sell him, we will do so reluctantly – but not for the money that is currently on the table.”
The Athletic Chairman and lifelong Wigan fan then suggested to that Moses’ agent could influence the players’ decision;
“We’ve made him a very good offer… It’s down to whether the lad himself listens to sense, or whether he listens to his agent.”
Whelan continued “Agents want cash out of players, that’s all, whereas we want the lad to realise his potential and reach the highest level he can.”
Moses has just returned from International duty with Nigeria and wants his future sorted out imminently;
“I have heard a lot of offers are on the table. First of all Wigan have the final say but for me the highest bidder would take the day but right now I am still a DW faithful.”
