The American Red Devils podcast (March 6th, 49:10) has rubbished the idea of Manchester United signing Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.
What’s he said?
Goal has claimed that the England captain is open to the idea of a move to Old Trafford as he does not want to wait for an overhaul of the Spurs playing squad.
They are currently seventh in the Premier League, five points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
Kane, of course, came through the youth ranks at Spurs and has been a fearsome goalscorer in north London, scoring 181 goals in 278 appearances for the club – including 17 this season.
However, Alex, of the podcast, does not believe such a deal would represent value for money, and would instead prefer that either Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho or Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish be signed.
He said: “Honestly like he’s had injury problems for the last year and a half, two years. I’m good. He’s going to cost big money.
“He would cost at least £100m. I’d rather spend it on Sancho, I’d rather spend it on Grealish.
“I don’t think we should break the bank for Kane this year.”

Nonsense
Kane is the one of the best out-and-out strikers in world football, if not the very best.
While he is injured currently, he has a truly astonishing goalscoring record.
He netted 31 goals in all competitions in 2014/15, 28 in 15/16, 35 in 16/17, 41 in 17/18, and 24 in 18/19. Thus far this season, he has scored 17 goals in 25 outings.
To turn your nose up at him in favour of either Sancho or Grealish is astonishingly short-sighted.
Kane, who is valued at £135m by Transfermarkt, is only 26 and will surely have his eyes on breaking Alan Shearer’s goalscoring record in the Premier League; he has 136 in 201 outings thus far and 181 in 278 for Spurs in total. He needs just 124 more to equal Shearer.
This may be one of the only opportunities United get to bring him in.
They should ignore this absolute nonsense and pull out all the stops.
Meanwhile, Man United fans are all mocking the same player!
