da imperador bet: According to Gianluci Di Marzio, Leeds are set to battle Lazio and Valencia for the loan-signing of Chelsea star Mario Pasalic.
What’s the Story?
da pinup bet: According to reports in Italy, Leeds are ready to battle with some of Europe’s top clubs to bring in Chelsea’s Mario Pasalic, who is valued at £6.80million by transfermarket.
It is thought that the Yorkshire club would be willing to sign the player on-loan for the season but will be faced with competition from Lazio and Valencia, both of whom can offer the 22-year-old top flight football.
However, Milan could also look to bring the player back to the San Siro after a more than successful loan spell last season.
How good was Pasalic last season?
Despite being just 22-years-old, Pasalic demonstrated exactly why Chelsea have held him in such high regard over the last few months. Spending the 2016/17 on-loan at AC Milan, the Croatian featured 26 times in all competitions, scoring 5 goals and providing an assist.
However, it was his exciting style of play that really impressed the Milan fans. Quick, direct and not afraid to take on a more experienced opponent, Pasalic proved that he could cope with football at the highest level.
Would Pasalic be a good fit for Leeds?
To say that this would be the Championship signing of the summer would be no understatement. A player of the calibre of Mario Pasalic would be an undoubted sensation in England’s second tier.
If new boss Thomas Christiansen can pull this deal off, not only will he earn the respect of the Leeds faithful but will also be signing one the brightest young talents in Europe.
